Community Involvement & Collaborations

Manna Ministries collaborates with several agencies in our target service area including the following:

Manna Ministries is part of the Emergency Management team for Pearl River County, and in the event of a disaster our long term shelter would be activated and we would work closely with the county emergency team to meet the needs of our citizens.  We are assigned the task of determining the number of special need citizens in our service area and how best to serve them in the event of a disaster.

We offer free community health education classes and screening to our local communities at various times during the year.

We collaborated with Convoy of Hope and World Vision to do  community outreaches offering  free food, health screenings, kids activities, entertainment, etc. This was an effort as part of an outreach to follow up with those who had suffered effects from Hurricane Katrina.

We have a collaborative agreement with Pearl River County to treat their prisoners with free primary medical care when needed.

Manna Ministries is an advocate for the homeless population in our community, offering resources and referrals.

We have a collaborative agreement with the schools to supply the children with school uniforms when available.

We assist families who have suffered from fires to their homes.  We collaborate with Jacob’s Well to meet their household, clothing, and furniture needs.

Manna Ministries is part of a recently formed alliance of free medical clinics in Mississippi.  We are currently developing the alliance which will serve free medical clinics state wide in advocating on policies with our local and state government.
